Emblematic for me of how quickly Naomi is growing, I started these booties a couple of weeks ago and just barely finished them in time for her to wear before they are too small! Aren't they cute? :) I used buttons from my great-grandmother's button box; such beautiful continuity in family relationships. The buttons were given to me by my paternal grandmother, with whom I share many things: among them a wedding date and the birth date of a child. From a garment probably worn by my great-grandmother; now on a garment for her great-great-granddaughter.
